What is a Hydrafacial?

The HydraFacial treatment is a new breakthrough in aesthetic technology. It takes its name from the root word Hydrate, “to cause to take up moisture”. This ability to moisturize the skin separates the HydraFacial from all other skin resurfacing procedures. The HydraFacial treatment removes dead skin cells and extracts impurities while simultaneously bathing the new skin with cleansing, hydrating and moisturizing serums. The treatment is soothing, refreshing, non-irritating and immediately effective.

The HydraFacial exfoliates while simultaneously hydrating skin and is quick and painless.  The results are often immediate and the visible effects are noticeable after one treatment. Hydrafacial is a specialized facial designed for all skin types (including sensitive skin) and treats a variety of skin issues, including acne, fine lines, and hyper-pigmentation. There is no skin irritation or downtime and the smoothness and hydration have a lasting effect. A study conducted on the efficacy of hydradermabrasion reported clinical improvements to facial tone and texture, less dyschromia (skin discoloration) and fewer fine lines.

Why is Hydrafacial good for my skin?

Hydration is the foundation of healthy, radiant skin. Irritation of the skin has been proven to increase signs of aging. The HydraFacial is a hydrating and non-irritating treatment.

How does Hydrafacial work?

The HydraFacial MD is a state of the art medical device. The HydraFacial resurfacing procedure thoroughly cares for your skin, providing cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, and hydration, including Vortex-Fusion of antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. The HydraFacial is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that delivers instant results with no discomfort or downtime. The procedure is immediately effective.  Each treatment uses a series of HydroPeel tips – Each one has multiple peeling edges to exfoliate the skin several times each pass, achieving better, more even results. The unique spiral design creates a vortex effect to easily dislodge and remove impurities while simultaneously introducing hydrating skin solutions with potent antioxidants and peptides.

The HydraFacial utilizes an assortment of proprietary serums consisting of AHA/BHA acids, antioxidants, peptides and vitamin-infused hyaluronic acid that are administered via the HydraFacial Vortex-Fusion Technology. The technology behind the treatment is delivering greater results than anything else on the market. This is the only piece of equipment with patented Vortex-Fusion technology. This is how the serums are directly infused into the skin. The HydraFacial works within your skin, not on top of it. The HydraFacial was just voted Best In-Office Facial Treatment in New Beauty magazine. It truly leaves you glowing.

Am I a candidate for this treatment?

The HydraFacial treatment is designed for all skin types. Even the most sensitive skin easily tolerates the HydraFacial treatment. Your skin care professional may choose specific treatment serums and/or customize the treatment for your unique skin conditions and needs. Consult your skincare professional for a skin evaluation and sensitivity test.

How long does this treatment take?Is there any downtime or pain involved?

The HydraFacial is a fast, efficient treatment that takes as little as 15 minutes for the Express service and up to 1 hour when including more advanced skin-specific solutions. The treatment is often described as a feeling like “a cool paintbrush moving over the face”. You may put on make-up and return to your normal activities right after the treatment since there is no downtime.

What results may be expected? How many treatments are needed to see results? How long do the results last?

Many people report seeing visible skin refinement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. The smooth results and hydration may last 5 to 7 days or even longer. A series of 6 treatments are recommended for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots, acne, and oily skin. After your first series of treatments, to maintain your results, it is recommended that you have a HydraFacial treatment every 2 to 4 weeks.
